History

培华长老会学校创始于新加坡基督教长老会荣耀堂前身的‘马车路尾礼拜堂’。1889年，许约瑟传道初自汕头贝理神学院毕业南来，接受新加坡马车路尾礼拜堂教职, 兼办义学, 故取名为‘马车路尾义学’。自当初的马车路尾义学至今日的武吉知马的培华学校，已有超过120年的历史。

Pei Hwa School started as “the free school at the end of the horse-carriage way” established by the Road End Free Church, predecessor of Glory Presbyterian Church. Having arrived from Swatow (now Shantou, Guangdong), Preacher Joseph Koh founded the Road End Free School in 1889, where the medium of instruction was Teochew. In 2009, the school celebrated its 120th anniversary.
